Alex Vause[]

Alex Vause is alone at her mother's funeral (Pelham Cemetery, King Ave. and Tier St., The Bronx, NYC) that only has a small amount of people and a priest. Alex regrets not coming back to visit her mom sooner. Fahri shows up outside the cemetery and convinces Alex to go back to Paris with him.

Alex, Fahri and Aydin camp out in a hotel; Fahri is worried that Kubra will kill him. Alex dismisses the idea and the two make a bet on whether Kubra will kill him or not. Immediately Aydin, who is behind Alex and Fahri, shoots Fahri dead.

Alex is taken to Kubra who says that Fahri's actions were "too human" for him to tolerate. Kubra tells Alex that she has not been very focused, scarring her by shouting it multiple times. He then tells Alex he will arrange for her to go to a rehab centre, which Alex is grateful for due to worrying she too would be killed. Kubra reminds Alex that he has "lots of friends" in a threatening sense.

Memorable Quotes[]

"I knew there would be compromises, and I love being forced to improvise but I can't play a piano if you cut off my hands at the wrists!"
Galina "Red" Reznikov
"I too was once embarrassed and squeamish about my personal...eau de parfume. But then I thought, 'Why should I be ashamed? Isn't that a part of the self-hatred that has been bred into me by the patriarchy? And aren't those same men that would shame me not the same men that would wear my panties on their faces, inhaling deeply?' Ladies, now is the time to be bold. For when these men smell your panties, they are smelling your character. Let them smell daring and courage. Let them smell women who are unabashed and un-self conscious. And let them say that Litchfield, Litchfield is a place where women love their bodies, and have love to spare. Sisters, we may be incarcerated, but our panties will travel the world. And in that way, long after we are gone, our smell, our smell will linger. In some gas station in Toronto, in some office cubicle in Tokyo. And in that way, we are known. And in that way, we are remembered. Do you want to be remembered? Then sweat profusely, and fart with abandon, and make a reek. Make a reek, my sisters. Make a reek to last a thousand years!"
Piper Chapman
