Berto Colon is an actor of Puerto Rican descent. He portrays Cesar Velazquez in Orange Is the New Black.

Early Life[]

Colon was born on May 18, 1973 in Ponce, Puerto Rico ^[1]. He moved to the US as a teenager^[2]. He attended Fordham University on a football scholarship. After a football injury to his knee, he decided to pursue acting^[3].

Colon is married and has two daughters, Sofia and Laila^[4]. His hobbies include acting, surfing and traveling.
